WrestleZone is Heading to Lossiemouth!

North-east promotion WrestleZone have a big double-header this weekend, with events taking place in Stonehaven and Lossiemouth.

This Friday (August 10th), the group will be in action at Stonehaven Town Hall with a huge main event for the Undisputed Championship as Scotty Swift challenges Johnny Lions.

The “Red-Haired Warrior” gets his first title opportunity in over six months, and he is relishing the chance to lock-up with the “Tenacious One” and make a challenge for the promotion’s top prize.

He continued: “This is a great opportunity for me to accomplish a career goal, and be recognized as the best wrestler that the North-east has to offer.

“I’ve worked hard throughout my whole career but never quite been able to be the man to beat. It has been 18 months since I was a singles champion, but now I want to become the man to beat.

“The only way to prove that is to hold the Undisputed Championship, and on August 10th I will be going flat out to do that.”

Women’s wrestling will also return to the North-East at the event, as Carmel and Kay Lee Ray clash in a battle to prove who is the country’s dominant female grappler.

Also on the card will be Edinburgh grappler Liam Thomson as he makes his WrestleZone debut against the “Hippie Horror” Aspen Faith. Faith’s unbeaten run will be in severe danger when the ‘Bad Boy’ faces him in Stonehaven.

Elsewhere, there will be eight-man tag team action as Sterling Oil and the Holyrood Blonds take on Los Cystos and the Granite City Hotshots, while Crusher Craib will face Damien as he looks to get his hands on Richard R. Russell. Brian Starr takes on Davey Annan to complete the card.

The following night, the grapplers head north to Lossiemouth, with a huge tag team title main event at the Town Hall. The Hotshots – Shawn Johnson and Bryan Tucker – will defend against Sterling Oil. Crusher Craib faces Alan Sterling, while Scotty Swift, Los Cystos and Davey Annan will also be in action.

Doors to both events open at 7pm with the action getting underway at 7.30pm. Admission is pay-at-the-door only, priced £10 for adults and £7 for under 14s.
