Wroxer is Coming…
Here at WrestleShark, we take pride in covering and promoting projects which appeal to all professional wrestling fans. With this in mind, we are proud to announce that we have joined forced with an exciting new project: Wroxer.
The first of its kind, Wroxer is a pioneering new project to produce a children’s animation series based around the unique worlds of mixed martial arts, professional wrestling and superheroes.
Following the story of underdog MMA fighter, Robby Walker, Wroxer follows a group of unlikely superheroes, better known as “The Core” in an epic fight for humanity against the evil “void”. “Void”.
The brain child of a dedicated group of individuals, the Wroxer team have The Wroxer team have recently launched their website, http://www.Wroxer.com, alongside a fund raising campaign to get the project up and running over at http://www.indiegogo.com/wroxer.
We caught up with Wroxer Executive Producer Simon Edwards, who has spent the last decade working with WWE and TNA Wrestling in a similar capacity, to ask what exactly he believes makes Wroxer such a worthwhile endeavour.
“”Wroxer is our way of bringing MMA and Pro Wrestling to the mainstream through animation in a way that’s never been done before. The response from the MMA and Pro Wrestling communities has been strong and any help they can give us to produce our animated short by visiting indiegogo.com/wroxer would be great. We have lots of cool gifts for our donors!”
Wroxer founder, Dr Robert Dickman, added:
“Wroxer is a way to promote a positive image for the sport of MMA in a way that appeals to a younger demographic.”
From our point of view: wrestling, MMA and superheroes’…what’s not to love?
