Having spent the past six years working for New Japan Pro Wrestling, Fergal Devitt has become one of British Wrestling’s most coveted stars. Having made his debut in 2000 with the infamous NWA Hammerlock, Prince Fergal Devitt quickly went on to tour the lengths and breadths of Britain, the US, Australia, capturing the British Commonwealth title, before heading off to the New Japan dojo in Los Angeles and subsequently Japan where he gained worldwide attention and acclaim.

Devitt has wrestled for numerous promotions, including NWA UK Hammerlock, NWA Pro, New England Championship Wrestling, Pro Wrestling Guerrilla, Pro Wrestling NOAH, Zero 1, DDT, Dragongate as well as having founded NWA Ireland with Paul Tracey. Devitt is a two time NWA British Commonwealth Heavyweight Champion, a two time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion and has held the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship six times, twice with Minoru and four times with Apollo 55 team mate Ryusuke Taguchi. His impressive CV, and even more impressive in-ring skill, has made him one of the most sought after talents in, not only British wrestling, but worldwide.

Making a return to Scotland, Devitt will make a guest appearance in Source Wrestling in Clydebank on September 1st courtesy of SWA and his opponent the SWA committee has chosen is a man not unfamilier to Source and or Clydebank crowd.

An arrogant and brazen young man, Sir Mark Anthony is a natural talent and he’s not shy in letting people know about it. Being thrown into the spotlight when Eric Canyon picked him as a tag team partner, Anthony soon made his singles debut and won against the challenging Glen Dunbar. In Source he has been a thorn in Joe Coffey’s side, always striving to prove he is the better man and as he steps into the ring against a modern day legend, a man that has a win over Coffey, Anthony will be out to prove he can do one better and do what Coffey didn’t… beat Prince Devitt.
Coming from wealth and good breeding, Anthony expects the very best in life. Not just fine wine and a big screen TV, but the best group of trainers, personal trainers, physical care and grooming, and of course, his own personal assistant to do everything he asks.

With Devitt, a man who worked hard and scraped by to get to the worldwide acclaim he has now, and a man who’ll happily buy his way to victory, there’s a huge personality clash but with Anthony’s army of trainers preparing hi for the role and Devitt’s world-class talents, this match will not only be about the international hero taking on the arrogant West End boy, but it will be about the very best in pure wrestling!

Fergal Devitt and Mark Anthony will clash in an SWA Guest Match at Source Wrestling, Centre 81, Clydebank on Saturday September 1st 2012. Doors will open 6:30pm with the first match scheduled for 7pm. Further matches to be confirmed.

Tickets will be available online from sourcewrestling.org from Saturday July 14th and will also be on sale at Source Wrestling events from July 21st in Bridgeton.
